The route leaves the airport and heads inland rather than towards the coast, so you avoid most of the seafront traffic. After a short stretch of dual carriageway you pick up the roads towards Alhaurín de la Torre, then branch onto smaller local roads that climb gently into the valley. The whole trip is short — roughly half an hour in normal conditions — but the character changes quickly: within minutes the airport and industrial estates give way to open farmland, greenhouses and hillside plots. The final approach is on narrow country lanes, some without pavements and with tight bends, and addresses here can be spread out and poorly signposted. A driver who knows the area is a real advantage, because satnav often struggles with the scattered rural addressing.

Because Torrealquería is a scattered district, share more than a street name: send the property's exact coordinates or a pinned location, plus the name of the finca or urbanisation and a nearby landmark, so the driver reaches the right lane the first time. Confirm whether a large vehicle can reach the door — some tracks are steep, unpaved or too narrow for a minivan, and you may need to be dropped at the nearest accessible point. There is little in the way of shops or services once you arrive, so pick up groceries in Alhaurín de la Torre town on the way if you're self-catering. A car is genuinely useful here for daily errands, as public transport is limited and the coast, though close, is a short drive rather than walking distance.
