باهيا سيرينا هي منطقة سكنية وسياحية في روكيتاس دي مار، على ساحل ألميريا، تقع بالقرب من بلايا سيرينا، وهو شاطئ رملي طويل يمتد لعدة كيلومترات باتجاه أغوادولسي. تجذب العائلات والزوار الذين يفضلون شقق الخدمة الذاتية بالقرب من الشاطئ بدلاً من منطقة الفنادق المزدحمة. يقع ملعب بلايا سيرينا للجولف، وهو ملعب يحتوي على ١٨ حفرة، بجانب المنطقة السكنية، لذا يشكل لاعبو الجولف نسبة كبيرة من الزوار في الربيع والخريف. على بعد مسافة قصيرة بالسيارة تجد ميناء الصيد والمدينة القديمة لروكيتاس، وقلعة سانتا آنا، والمنارة، ومارينا أغوادولسي. تقع ساليناس دي سيريلوس، مع طيور الفلامنجو، بالقرب. موسم الذروة هو يوليو وأغسطس، عندما تملأ العائلات الإسبانية المنطقة.

This is a long coastal run, around 210 km and close to two and a half hours, almost entirely on the A-7 Autovía del Mediterráneo. Leaving the airport you head east past Nerja, then the road climbs and winds through the mountainous stretch above Almuñécar and La Herradura, with tunnels and sea views on the Granada coast. Past Motril the landscape turns drier and more open as you cross into Almería province, with the Sierra de Gádor rising inland. You leave the motorway near Aguadulce and Roquetas, and the final few kilometres are flat urban roads through the resort. Because Bahía Serena is a spread-out urbanisation with many apartment blocks, having the exact building name and street helps the driver reach your door without circling.

Because the journey is long, factor in the difference from the shorter Marbella-side transfers people often assume Málaga serves. Bring water and, in summer, expect the Almería end to be noticeably hotter and drier than Málaga. The mountainous section near La Herradura can slow traffic on summer weekends and around Motril, so allow extra time for a flight you must catch. If you're arriving for golf at Playa Serena, tee times are usually early to avoid the heat, so a morning transfer the day before pays off. For self-catering stays, the nearest large supermarkets are in central Roquetas rather than inside the urbanisation itself, worth a quick stop if you land late. Confirm the apartment block name and the key-collection point before travelling.
