Private transfer from Zaragoza Airport to Zaragoza
Door-to-door transfer from Zaragoza Airport to Zaragoza with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Zaragoza offers when you arrive
Zaragoza sits on the Ebro, halfway between Madrid and Barcelona, and most visitors head straight for the Casco Histórico. The Basílica del Pilar dominates the riverside square, with La Seo cathedral and the Roman-era Caesaraugusta remains a short walk away. The Aljafería, an 11th-century Moorish palace now housing the Aragonese parliament, is west of the centre. For eating and drinking, El Tubo is the dense grid of tapas bars behind Plaza de España. October brings the Fiestas del Pilar, when the whole city fills for a week of processions, concerts and street events. The riverside walk past the Puente de Piedra and the 2008 Expo site is popular with residents and day-trippers year-round.
The drive from the airport into the city
Zaragoza Airport lies roughly 10 kilometres west of the centre, near Garrapinillos, and it shares the site with a military base. The road journey is short and almost entirely on fast dual carriageway: you join the airport access road, then the Z-40 ring or the N-125 towards the city, taking around 20 minutes in normal traffic. The terrain is flat, open plain typical of the Ebro valley, so there is no winding or climbing. The final stretch into the centre slows as you reach the streets around Plaza del Pilar and the old town, where narrower one-way roads and pedestrian zones limit how close a vehicle can drop you. Traffic rarely builds up except during Pilar week in October.
Practical tips for this transfer
The airport is small, so arrivals clear quickly and your driver can meet you without long waits. Because the run into the city is only about 20 minutes, a private transfer often beats waiting for the airport bus, which runs on a set timetable and stops at intermediate points. If your hotel is inside the old town near Plaza del Pilar, tell the driver in advance: several streets are pedestrianised or restricted, and the practical drop-off may be a corner nearby rather than the door. Book ahead if you land during Pilar week in October, when the city is full and central access is tightly controlled. The AVE station, Delicias, is on the same western side of the city, useful if you are connecting onward by train.
