Private transfer from Zadar Airport to Vodice

Vodice sits on the coast between Zadar and Šibenik and fills up in summer with families and younger travellers. The ACI Marina anchors the waterfront, and the pedestrian promenade runs past cafés toward Plava plaža (Blue Beach) and the Punta area, where most of the larger hotels sit. Above the town, the Okit hill and its chapel give a full view over the bay. Vodice is also a base for Krka National Park and for ferries to Prvić and Zlarin islands from nearby Šibenik. Nightlife concentrates at the Hacienda club just outside town on the road toward Šibenik. The fishing village of Tribunj, with its islet old town, is a short drive west and quieter than Vodice itself.

Zadar Airport sits inland at Zemunik, so the transfer starts on local roads before joining the A1 motorway heading southeast. Most of the journey is motorway through open, stony inland country, with the Velebit range visible to the north. You leave the A1 around the Šibenik/Prgomet exit and drop down toward the coast on the D33/D58 corridor, where the road narrows and starts to wind as it approaches the sea. The final stretch into Vodice passes the Hacienda area and the outskirts before reaching the marina and old-town streets, which are tight and often busy in peak season. Total driving time is usually around 50 minutes, longer on summer weekends when coastal traffic and the Šibenik junction back up.

If your accommodation is in the Punta hotel zone rather than the town centre, tell the driver in advance — the resort side has its own access roads and drop-off points, and it saves circling the busy marina. The old-town streets near the waterfront are partly pedestrianised, so a car may not reach the door; be ready for a short walk with luggage. If you are heading to Krka National Park, note that the usual entrance is at Skradin or Lozovac, both a further drive from Vodice, not in the town itself. For early or late flights, the A1 is fast and reliable, but the coastal descent has no lighting in places, so allow the full estimate. In July and August, ask the driver to build in extra time around the Šibenik exit.
