Private transfer from Zadar Airport to Marina Tucepi
Door-to-door transfer from Zadar Airport to Marina Tucepi with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Marina Tucepi and the surrounding riviera are like
Tučepi sits on the Makarska Riviera, directly beneath the Biokovo massif, with one of the longest pebble beaches on this stretch of coast running roughly four kilometres toward Makarska. Most visitors are families and couples staying in the large Bluesun hotels (Alga, Kaštelet, Neptun) along the seafront promenade, busiest from June to September. Above the coast road, the old village of Gornje Tučepi—Podpeć and Kraj—has stone houses and the church of St George among olive groves. The small marina and harbour handle local boats and excursions. Makarska town is about three kilometres north for markets, restaurants and nightlife; Podgora lies just south. Hikers use Tučepi as a base for the Biokovo Nature Park and its Skywalk viewing platform.
The drive south from Zadar Airport
Zadar Airport lies inland at Zemunik, and Tučepi is well to the south, so almost the whole journey runs on the A1 motorway. You join near Zadar and head past Šibenik and Split, with long inland stretches and several tunnels through karst hills—little sea view for most of this part. Approaching the riviera you leave the A1 around Zagvozd and pass through the Sveti Ilija tunnel under Biokovo, then descend a winding road toward Baška Voda and the Adriatic coastal road (D8) through Makarska. The final stretch into Tučepi is slower, with the mountain wall on one side and the sea on the other. Expect roughly two and a half to three hours depending on summer traffic around Split and Makarska.
Practical tips for this specific transfer
Because Tučepi's hotels spread along a single coastal road with separate entrances, tell your driver the exact hotel or apartment name—Alga, Kaštelet, Neptun or a private villa in Gornje Tučepi—so you're dropped at the right gate rather than the middle of the promenade. Villas in the upper village are reached by steep, narrow lanes; a smaller vehicle is easier there. This is a long transfer, so plan a stop: the service area near Split or Makarska town works well for food and toilets. In peak July and August, the coastal D8 through Makarska slows considerably, so allow extra time for flights. Note the Makarska-Sumartin ferry to Brač departs from Makarska harbour if you're island-hopping, and Split Airport is actually closer than Zadar for future flights.
