Traffic can slow near the coast in July and August, particularly around ferry departure times at the town port.

If you're catching the Jadrolinija ferry to Tkon on Pašman, tell your driver in advance — the town harbour has limited stopping space and it fills before sailings. For charter guests, confirm whether your boat is at Marina Kornati or Marina Šangulin, as they're on opposite sides of the peninsula and the drop-off points differ. The old-town streets are narrow and partly pedestrianised, so a car usually stops at the edge and you walk the last stretch to seafront accommodation. If you land late, note that Biograd has fewer 24-hour shops than Zadar; stock up at the larger supermarkets on the town's approach road. For groups heading to Pakoštane or Sveti Filip i Jakov, these sit just minutes further along the same coast and are easy add-ons.
