It is not a mountain or winding route, just a steady coastal-plain run.

Give your driver the exact hotel or apartment name and the seafront street, not just "Pineda" — Sottomarina's beachfront blocks look similar and several access roads run parallel to the shore. In July and August the Romea and the Chioggia causeway back up on weekend afternoons, so an early or mid-morning arrival slot moves faster. Many beach residences here rent by the week with Saturday changeovers, which concentrates traffic; confirm your check-in time in advance. If you plan to visit Chioggia's old town, a car is awkward inside the historic centre — better to be dropped at your accommodation and walk or take the local bus across the bridge. Book ferries to Albarella or Pellestrina separately, as they run on fixed timetables.
