Private transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Caorle
Door-to-door transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Caorle with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Caorle is known for
Caorle is an Adriatic beach town east of Venice, built around a compact old fishing quarter of narrow lanes and pastel houses. Its landmarks are the Duomo di Santo Stefano with its cylindrical bell tower and the Madonna dell'Angelo sanctuary standing at the water's edge, reached along the Scogliera Viva breakwater carved with stone sculptures. Two long sandy beaches, Spiaggia di Levante and Spiaggia di Ponente, draw families through summer, with rows of umbrellas run by bathing establishments. West of the centre lie the marina and resort zone of Porto Santa Margherita, plus Duna Verde and Lido di Altanea. Behind the town, the lagoon dotted with reed-roofed casoni fishing huts is popular for cycling and birdwatching. Most visitors arrive between May and September.
The drive from Marco Polo to the coast
The route leaves Marco Polo Airport on the Passante di Mestre and joins the A4 motorway heading east toward Trieste. It is fast, flat motorway driving across the Veneto plain for most of the way, past San Donà di Piave. You exit around Santo Stino di Livenza or San Donà, then follow local roads south through farmland toward the coast, crossing the Livenza area before reaching Caorle. The whole journey is roughly 63 km and usually takes under an hour. The final stretch runs past the resort developments and the lagoon before the road narrows near the old centre, where traffic and pedestrian zones slow the last few minutes, especially in July and August when day-trippers fill the seafront roads.
Practical tips for this transfer
Tell the driver exactly where you're staying: Caorle spreads over distinct zones, and Porto Santa Margherita, Duna Verde and Lido di Altanea are several kilometres from the historic centre, each with its own entrance road. The old town itself is a limited-traffic zone (ZTL) with pedestrianised lanes, so vehicles usually stop at the nearest permitted point and you walk the last stretch with luggage; a small wheeled case is easier than a hard trolley on the cobbles. If you're heading to a beach hotel, ask to be dropped on the correct beach side, Levante or Ponente. In peak summer weekends, allow extra time for the approach roads. There is no rail station in Caorle itself, which makes a direct road transfer the most straightforward way to arrive.
