Private transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Camping Marina di Venezia
Door-to-door transfer from Venice Marco Polo Airport to Camping Marina di Venezia with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Camping Marina di Venezia is like
Camping Marina di Venezia sits at the far tip of the Cavallino-Treporti peninsula, in Punta Sabbioni, on Via Montello. It is one of the largest holiday villages on the Adriatic, with mobile homes, glamping tents and pitches running back from a wide private sand beach that faces the open sea, with the Venice lagoon entrance to one side. The site has a large aqua park with slides, several pools, supermarkets, bars and a marina. It fills mainly with German, Dutch and Austrian families from May to September, and the ferry pier at Punta Sabbioni is a short distance away, giving direct boats to San Marco and Lido. Expect a busy, self-contained resort with numbered reception lanes rather than a quiet campsite.
The drive around the lagoon to Punta Sabbioni
Although the campsite is almost opposite Venice across the water, there is no road bridge, so the car route loops right around the northern edge of the lagoon. From Marco Polo the driver takes the A4/A57 tangenziale briefly, then heads east on the SR43 and SP42 towards Jesolo before turning south down the Cavallino peninsula on the SP44/Via Fausta. It is roughly 40 kilometres and normally under an hour, though summer Saturdays clog the single-carriageway peninsula road with changeover traffic. The landscape is flat: reclaimed farmland, drainage canals, and then a long ribbon of campsites, beach shops and pinewoods. The final approach along Via Montello and Via Hermada is narrow, with cyclists and pedestrians crossing between the beach and the sites, so the last kilometre is slow.
Practical tips for this transfer
Give the driver your pitch or mobile-home number and the exact reception you are assigned to; this resort has more than one gate along Via Montello, and staff will direct traffic in high season. Arrivals and departures cluster on Saturday mornings, so an early-morning airport pickup avoids the worst peninsula queues. If your onward plan is to visit Venice itself, note the ACTV ferry from Punta Sabbioni to San Marco runs frequently in summer and takes around 40 minutes—far simpler than driving back around. Bring cash or a card for the ferry and the on-site supermarkets. A private transfer is worth it with beach luggage, bikes and children, because the alternative involves a bus to the pier, a boat, and then no easy way to reach Cavallino by public transport.
