Private transfer from Turin Airport to Courmayeur

Courmayeur sits directly below the Italian side of Mont Blanc in the Aosta Valley, right at the mouth of the Mont Blanc tunnel to Chamonix. In winter, skiers head for the Checrouit and Val Veny slopes, reached by the cable car from the village centre. The pedestrian Via Roma is lined with bars, restaurants and outdoor-gear shops, and the old church of San Pantaleone anchors the centre. In summer, hikers use the hamlets of Val Ferret and Val Veny as trailheads, including sections of the Tour du Mont Blanc. Nearby Entrèves and La Palud are the base for the Skyway Monte Bianco cable car up to Punta Helbronner. Many visitors also detour to the thermal spa at Pré-Saint-Didier, a few minutes down the valley.

From Turin Airport at Caselle the route joins the A5 motorway and runs north past Ivrea, then follows the Dora Baltea valley through Aosta, Sarre and Morgex. It's motorway almost the entire way, with tolls, so the journey is fast and steady rather than winding. The scenery shifts from the Piedmont plain to a genuine alpine valley, with peaks closing in as you approach the head of the valley. After leaving the motorway at Courmayeur the final few kilometres climb on the SS26 into the village. Expect roughly one hour and fifty minutes for around 150 kilometres, longer on winter weekends when ski traffic and tunnel-bound trucks build up near Morgex and the resort exits.

Courmayeur's centre is largely pedestrian, so give your driver the exact hotel or chalet address; many properties are up in Dolonne, Entrèves or the side valleys rather than on Via Roma, and access points differ. If you're staying in Val Ferret or Val Veny, note that road access can be restricted or closed to private vehicles in high season, so confirm the drop-off point in advance. Bring ski or hiking gear counts in your booking so the vehicle has room. In winter, allow extra time and expect snow chains or winter tyres to be fitted.
