Private transfer from Tivat Airport to Sveti Stefan
Door-to-door transfer from Tivat Airport to Sveti Stefan with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Sveti Stefan is and who goes there
Sveti Stefan is a small fortified islet linked to the mainland by a narrow causeway, converted into the Aman Sveti Stefan resort, so the island itself is largely reserved for hotel guests. Most visitors stay on the mainland side, above Miločer and Pržno, and come for the beaches: the reddish sand of Sveti Stefan beach either side of the causeway, plus the private Queen's Beach (Kraljičina Plaža) and Miločer beach reached through the old royal park. Couples and higher-end travellers dominate in summer, along with photographers shooting the classic view from the coast road. Budva's nightlife is a short drive north, so many treat Sveti Stefan as the quieter base. Praskvica Monastery sits on the hillside just above the village.
The drive from Tivat Airport down the coast
The route leaves Tivat and follows the Adriatic Highway (Jadranska magistrala) south. You climb over the Trojica pass area above Budva, with wide views over the bay, then descend toward Budva's outskirts before the road hugs the shoreline past Bečići and Rafailovići. The final stretch approaching Sveti Stefan is coastal and curving, with the islet coming into view below the road. It is around 25 kilometres and typically 40 to 50 minutes, though summer traffic through Budva and the Bečići strip can add time. The last turn-off drops down toward Pržno and the resort entrances; the road down to the beach level is steep and narrow. Expect two-lane road for most of the way rather than motorway.
Practical tips for this specific transfer
Tell your driver whether you are staying at the Aman resort, in Pržno, or in an apartment above the village, because the access roads differ and the lanes near the beach are too narrow and steep for larger vehicles to turn easily. If you have a lot of luggage, ask to be dropped at the closest upper point, as final steps down to sea level are on foot. Book transfers to include the summer bottleneck through Budva, especially late afternoon. The classic photo viewpoint is on the main road just north of the causeway, worth mentioning if you want a brief stop. Note the island itself is not open to non-guests, so plan beach time on the public sand or nearby Pržno rather than expecting to walk across.
