Private transfer from Tivat Airport to Perast

Perast is a small baroque town on the inner Bay of Kotor, built along a single waterfront with stone palazzi and the tall bell tower of St Nicholas Church. Its main draw is the pair of islets just offshore: Our Lady of the Rocks (Gospa od Škrpjela), an artificial island with a domed church and small museum, and St George. Boats to the islets leave from the waterfront throughout the day. There are no proper beaches here, just a few swimming ladders and small concrete platforms off the promenade. Most visitors are day-trippers and couples who come for the churches, seafood restaurants over the water, and the quiet compared to Kotor. Peak season is June to September; the town is calm and many restaurants close in winter.

The route leaves Tivat Airport and follows the bay northward, skirting Tivat town and passing the Porto Montenegro marina area before reaching the shoreline road toward Kotor. From Kotor the road hugs the water all the way to Perast, tracing the edge of the inner bay past the villages of Dobrota, Ljuta and Orahovac. It is a coastal drive the whole way, mostly two-lane and slow in places, with the mountains rising steeply on one side and the water on the other. The trip is short in distance but can take longer in summer when traffic backs up through Kotor and around the bends. Perast itself is closed to through traffic, so vehicles stop at the entrance and the final stretch to the waterfront is on foot.

Because Perast is pedestrian-only along its waterfront, tell your driver your accommodation name in advance; the drop-off point is at the town entrance and you may need to wheel luggage a few hundred metres over uneven stone. Book the transfer with your flight number so the driver can track delays, as Tivat is a small airport where charter arrivals cluster together. If you plan to visit Our Lady of the Rocks, keep some cash for the boat and church entry, since not all vendors take cards. Parking in Perast is very limited and mostly at the edges of town, which is another reason a door-to-transfer is easier than a rental car here. For an early flight home, allow extra time in July and August, as the single bay road backs up around Kotor.
