Prčanj is a long, thin village strung along the western shore of the inner Bay of Kotor, between Stoliv and the town of Kotor itself. It grew rich from seafaring, and the waterfront still shows it: rows of stone captains' houses, and the oversized Baroque Church of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary, set on a terrace above the road with a wide staircase. The ruined Tre Sorelle (Three Sisters) palace stands nearby. There is no walled old town here — the appeal is a quiet promenade, small pebble and concrete swimming spots, and water views straight across to Tivat. Visitors are mostly couples and older travellers wanting calm, plus villa and apartment renters who use it as a base near Kotor without the cruise-ship crowds. The route hugs the coast the whole way. Leaving Tivat Airport, the driver heads north on the main road toward Kotor, following the shoreline of the bay through Donja Lastva and along the water toward the Kotor approach. Rather than entering Kotor's old-town area, the road turns back down the western shore toward Prčanj and Stoliv. That final stretch is the part passengers notice: a narrow two-way coastal lane, stone walls close on the landward side, the bay directly on the other, and tight bends between houses. It is slow going but short — around 15 kilometres and roughly 25 minutes without traffic. In July and August, cruise-day congestion near Kotor can add time, since through-traffic funnels along this single bayside road with limited overtaking.

Prčanj addresses are spread thinly along a single road, so give the driver the house name or a clear landmark — the big church, the Prčanj promenade, or the nearest neighbour's villa — rather than just "Prčanj", which covers several kilometres. The coastal lane is too narrow for a vehicle to stop long or turn easily, so know whether your accommodation has a driveway or you'll be dropped at the roadside with a short walk down to the water. Many properties sit below road level with steps, which matters if you have heavy luggage. There are few shops in the village itself, so a stop in Kotor for groceries on the way in is worth requesting in advance. Evenings are dark and quiet; a torch and a booked driver for onward trips both help.
