Private transfer from Tivat Airport to Dubrovnik
Door-to-door transfer from Tivat Airport to Dubrovnik with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Dubrovnik offers when you arrive
Dubrovnik's walled Old Town is the draw: the marble Stradun runs from Pile Gate to Ploče Gate, past the Sponza Palace, Rector's Palace and Onofrio's Fountain. Walking the city walls and riding the cable car up Mount Srđ are the standard first afternoon. Fort Lovrijenac and several corners here appear in Game of Thrones, which pulls large crowds from May to September. Families use Banje Beach just outside Ploče and take the short boat to Lokrum island. Cruise passengers and yachts arrive at Gruž port, while quieter beach days happen on the Lapad and Babin Kuk peninsula. Cavtat, a smaller resort town, sits south near Dubrovnik's own airport at Čilipi.
The drive: ferry, coast road and border
From Tivat you follow the Bay of Kotor shoreline to Kamenari, where the short Kamenari–Lepetane ferry crosses the narrows and cuts out a long loop around the bay. On the far side the road passes through Herceg Novi before reaching the Montenegro–Croatia border at Debeli Brijeg (Karasovići on the Croatian side). From there it's the Adriatic coastal road toward Dubrovnik, hugging cliffs above the sea with steady bends and open water views most of the way. The final approach descends toward Gruž and the Old Town. Reckon on roughly two and a half hours, but the two variables are the ferry wait and the border queue, both of which grow in July and August.
Practical points for this cross-border route
This is an international transfer, so carry your passport or ID card in hand luggage, not in a checked bag — everyone in the vehicle is checked at the border. Croatia uses the euro, so you don't need Montenegrin cash unless you plan a stop. Cars cannot enter the walled Old Town; drop-offs are at Pile Gate or Ploče Gate, and from there it's stairs and pedestrian lanes, so pack light or plan for a short walk. If your hotel is on the Lapad peninsula or at Gruž, say so in advance, as those are separate from the Old Town. On heavy cruise days Gruž and the Pile area get congested, so allow extra time for a return airport run.
