Door-to-door transfer from Tivat Airport to Budva city with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Budva is known for
Budva packs a walled old town (Stari Grad) with the Citadel, Santa Maria in Punta church and tight stone lanes that open onto small squares. The long crescent of Slovenska Plaza runs beside the promenade, while Mogren beach sits just past the old town walls, reached by a cliff path. Ričardova Glava and the tiny islet of Sveti Nikola face the harbour, and the marina fills with boats in summer. The town draws a young crowd for its nightlife strip along the beach, families for the shallow bays, and day-trippers heading on to Sveti Stefan a few kilometres south. July and August are busiest and hottest; late spring and September are calmer with warm sea and open restaurants.
The drive from Tivat Airport to Budva
The route runs south down the coast, leaving Tivat and climbing over the low ridge that separates the Bay of Kotor from the open Adriatic. The main road passes near Radovići and the Luštica turnoff before descending towards Budva. It is a two-lane coastal road most of the way, with bends and some short climbs rather than motorway, so expect a steady rather than fast pace. In peak summer the stretch approaching Budva backs up, particularly near the town entrance and the tunnel. The journey is short in distance, but the road, sea views and traffic shape the time far more than the mileage suggests. Arriving into Budva, the road narrows as it feeds into streets around Slovenska Plaza and the old town.
Practical tips for this transfer
Vehicles cannot enter the walled old town, so agree a drop-off point in advance — the area near the marina, the Slovenska Plaza promenade or a hotel entrance on the main road. If your accommodation is inside Stari Grad, be ready for a short walk over cobbles with your luggage; a soft bag is easier than a hard-shell case. In July and August allow extra time on the return to the airport, as the coastal road slows and Budva's parking and exits get congested around midday. For onward trips to Sveti Stefan, Petrovac or Kotor, it is worth arranging the driver to continue rather than switching transport in town. Tell your driver the specific hotel name, since several beachfront properties share similar addresses along the promenade.
