Door-to-door transfer from Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport to M'diq with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What M'diq is known for
M'diq sits on the Mediterranean coast north of Tetouan, between Cabo Negro and Fnideq. It grew from a fishing port into a summer resort town, and its working harbour still lands the catch each morning while the promenade and beach fill up alongside it. Just south is Marina Smir, with a yacht harbour, apartments and restaurants; nearby Cabo Negro has the Royal Golf de Cabo Negro and long sandy stretches at Restinga Smir. In July and August it's busy with Moroccan families and visitors from Tetouan and the Gulf; spring and autumn are calmer. Ceuta's border at Fnideq and the UNESCO medina of Tetouan are both short drives, making M'diq a practical base for the northern coast.
The drive from the airport across to the coast
Tangier Ibn Battouta Airport lies west of the city, so the route runs inland and eastward, largely on the A4 Tangier–Tetouan motorway. It's fast, dual-carriageway driving through rolling farmland and the western foothills of the Rif, with a toll section. Approaching Tetouan the road climbs and dips before you leave the motorway and pick up the coastal N16 toward M'diq. The final stretch is a shorter coastal road that passes Cabo Negro and Marina Smir, where you'll first see the sea. Expect roughly an hour and three quarters in normal conditions. The main variable is Tetouan's ring and town traffic, which slows things in summer afternoons and around weekends when day-trippers head for the beaches.
Practical notes for this transfer
Tell the driver which part of M'diq you need: the town centre and harbour, the Marina Smir complex, or a Cabo Negro address, since these have separate access points and the coastal road can be slow to double back. If you're continuing to Ceuta, ask the driver about the Fnideq border rather than assuming a direct drop across it — the crossing is pedestrian and vehicles don't pass freely. Carry some dirhams for incidentals; the motorway toll is handled by the driver but small shops and the harbour cafés often prefer cash. In summer, book pick-up times with buffer for Tetouan congestion. For golf at Cabo Negro or early beach starts, an evening arrival transfer avoids the worst of the daytime coastal traffic.
