Expect roughly 55 kilometres and about 55 minutes in normal conditions. The motorway section is fast and easy; the final approach through Šibenik and the coastal stretch is slower, with roundabouts and summer traffic near the marina. As you arrive, the road narrows along the seafront, where one-way sections and pedestrian zones around the Riva can slow the last few minutes.

Many apartments sit in the narrow lanes behind the Riva that vehicles cannot fully enter; ask your driver for the closest legal drop-off point and be ready for a short walk with luggage. In peak summer the seafront and marina area fill with pedestrians in the evening, so an earlier arrival is smoother than a late-night one. If you plan boat trips to Prvić or the Kornati islands, the ferry and excursion boats leave from the Riva and marina, both within walking distance of most central lodgings, so you rarely need a car once you're settled.
