Private transfer from Split Airport to Trogir

Trogir sits on a small island packed between the mainland and Ciovo, its old town a UNESCO-listed grid of stone lanes you cross entirely on foot. The cathedral of St. Lawrence with Radovan's carved portal, the Kamerlengo fortress at the western tip, and the waterfront Riva lined with cafés are the fixed points most visitors walk between. Families and couples come in summer for the compact scale and the beaches just across the bridge on Ciovo — Okrug Gornji's long pebble strip is the busiest. Boaters use the ACI marina opposite the old town. Because the airport is so close, many travellers also use Trogir as a quieter base than Split itself, staying in Seget Donji or Ciovo and day-tripping by ferry or road.

Split Airport actually sits in Kaštela, just east of Trogir, so this is one of the shortest transfers in the region — usually around ten to fifteen minutes. The route follows the D409 and the local coastal road west, passing Kaštel Štafilić and skirting the water before reaching the mainland approach to the old town. There is no motorway involved and no mountain climbing; the terrain stays flat and coastal the whole way. The one thing to expect is that vehicles cannot enter the pedestrian island itself. Drop-off is at the mainland edge or at the bridge to Ciovo, from where you walk in. In July and August the single approach road and the bridges can slow to a crawl with beach traffic.

Because the distance is so small, book the transfer anyway if you have luggage or children — the walk from the airport isn't realistic and local buses are infrequent with a change. Tell your driver in advance whether you're staying in the old town, on Ciovo, or in Seget, as each has a different practical drop point; old-town accommodation almost always means the last stretch is on foot over the bridge with bags on cobbles, so pack wheeled cases you can lift. If your stay is on Ciovo (Okrug or Slatine), the driver can usually take you closer, but the Ciovo roads narrow quickly. For early morning flights out, allow only a few minutes of driving but factor in the same summer bridge congestion the other way.
