Private transfer from Seville Airport to Rota (San Fernando)
Door-to-door transfer from Seville Airport to Rota (San Fernando) with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Rota is known for
Rota sits on the northern shore of the Bay of Cádiz, best known for the joint Spanish–US Naval Station that brings a steady flow of American military families, plus long Atlantic beaches. Playa de la Costilla runs right beside the old town, while Playa de Punta Candor and Playa de la Ballena stretch north, past the historic corrales de pesca stone fish traps. The centre is compact: the Castillo de Luna, the church of Nuestra Señora de la O, and narrow pedestrian streets around the Puerto Deportivo marina. Summer brings Spanish holidaymakers and the Feria de la Urta in August, named after the local fish. It's calmer than nearby El Puerto de Santa María or Chipiona out of season, and popular with families for its shallow, gently shelving sands.
The drive from Seville Airport to Rota
The route runs almost entirely on motorway. From Seville Airport (SVQ), east of the city, the driver joins the SE-30 ring road and picks up the A-4 south towards Jerez and Cádiz. This is fast, flat farmland country through the Guadalquivir plain. After passing Jerez de la Frontera, the road switches to the A-491, a dual carriageway heading west toward El Puerto de Santa María and the coast. The final stretch is the shorter, more local approach into Rota itself, passing the edge of the naval base before reaching the town. Expect roughly 130 kilometres and around an hour and forty minutes with normal traffic. There's little winding until the very end; the terrain stays inland and open almost all the way to the Atlantic.

Practical tips for this transfer
If your destination is inside or beside the Naval Station Rota, tell the driver in advance: base access requires ID and gate procedures, so most drops are made at the main gate rather than inside. Give the specific address or beach name — Rota's old town has narrow, partly pedestrianised streets where large vehicles can't reach every door, so a nearby drop point may be needed. In August, during the Feria de la Urta and peak beach season, traffic through El Puerto de Santa María slows and parking near the marina is scarce. If you're continuing to Chipiona or Sanlúcar de Barrameda, they're a short hop further along the coast and easy to add. For evening arrivals, note the A-491 approach is well lit but the final town streets are not.
