Teslic sits in the Usora valley in Republika Srpska, and most arrivals are heading for Banja Vrucica, the thermal spa complex just outside town on the slopes of Mount Ozren. It draws older visitors and families coming for the mineral water treatments, rehabilitation stays and the hotel pools (Hotel Kardial, Hotel Posavina and Hotel Srbija all sit within the same grounds). Others come for the Ozren forests and hiking trails, or to visit relatives in the surrounding villages. Teslic itself is a small working town rather than a resort, with the Usora river running through it. Summer is the busiest season for the spa; the surrounding hills stay green and cool even in July, which is part of the appeal.

From Sarajevo International Airport the route runs north, joining the A1 motorway toward Zenica and then following the M17 corridor down the Bosna river valley through Zepce and Maglaj. This is inland, valley-and-hills terrain the whole way, with the river and railway line often beside the road. Near Doboj the route turns west toward Teslic, leaving the main corridor for a quieter regional road that climbs gently along the Usora. Expect roughly two and a half hours. The motorway sections are fast and easy; the final stretch is slower, passing through small towns and the occasional roadworks. The approach to Banja Vrucica leaves the town centre and winds up a short, tree-lined hill to the hotel grounds.

Teslic is in Republika Srpska, so tell your driver which hotel or address you need, as "Teslic" and "Banja Vrucica" are separate points a few kilometres apart. The spa hotels use the same access road but have distinct receptions, so give the exact hotel name. There is a border-region entity crossing between the Federation and Republika Srpska, but it is administrative and involves no passport check. Bring cash in convertible marks (KM) for small purchases; card acceptance is patchy in the smaller shops. The valley road can be slow behind lorries, so allow buffer time for a return airport run. If you are coming for a treatment stay, confirm your check-in time, as spa hotel arrivals are often tied to a medical or programme schedule.
