Much of it is ordinary urban and valley driving rather than motorway, so the time depends heavily on Sarajevo traffic: the stretch through the city and along the tram and main-road corridors can slow considerably at rush hour. Once past the built-up northern districts the road opens into the narrower river valley, with slopes rising on either side. It is a short trip in distance but not always in time, so allow a margin around morning and late-afternoon congestion.

Because Semizovac spreads along the main road rather than around a single square, give your driver a specific street address or a recognisable landmark, such as a particular business, the motorway junction, or your building, rather than just the place name. This avoids being dropped at the wrong end of the settlement. If you are continuing north to Ilijaš, Olovo or onto the A1 toward Zenica, mention it when booking, as the same corridor serves those onward trips. Sarajevo winters bring snow and cold in the valley, so allow extra time and expect slower driving after snowfall. For early flights, factor in that the return crossing of the city to Ilidža can be slow, and confirm pickup time accordingly. Cash in convertible marks is useful locally, as smaller businesses may not take cards.
