Golfers usually play the Dinard course at nearby Saint-Briac-sur-Mer. Across the Rance estuary sits Saint-Malo, reachable by a short bus-boat crossing in season.

Rennes-Saint-Jacques Airport sits southwest of the city, so the transfer first joins the Rennes ring road and then the N137 dual carriageway heading north toward Saint-Malo. This is fast, straight driving for most of the way, through flat inland farmland with little to see. Near Châteauneuf-d'Ille-et-Vilaine the route turns west onto the D168 and crosses the Barrage de la Rance, the tidal power station that dams the estuary — a distinctive stretch where you can see the water on both sides. After the dam the road runs the final few kilometres into Dinard, becoming narrower and busier as it approaches the town centre and seafront. Expect roughly an hour door to door.

There is a separate airport much closer, Dinard-Pleurtuit-Saint-Malo, so confirm your driver is booked from Rennes-Saint-Jacques and not the smaller field. In July and August the Rance dam road and central Dinard can slow considerably, especially late afternoon; allow extra time for departures. Dinard's seafront streets around the Plage de l'Écluse are narrow and one-way in places, so give your exact villa or hotel address rather than just
