Gregorio Luperón International Airport (POP) sits east of Puerto Plata near Sosúa, so the route runs westward, following the coast road toward and around the city. You'll travel along the main Puerto Plata corridor, passing the Malecón waterfront and the foot of Mount Isabel de Torres with its cable car before continuing beyond the town's western edge. The final stretch turns off the main road and climbs a short, winding approach into the Cofresi hills where the resort entrances and Ocean World are located. Expect roughly 40 minutes for the 28 kilometres, longer if you pass through Puerto Plata during weekday traffic or when a cruise ship is docked at the Amber Cove and Taino Bay terminals, which adds congestion on the town roads.

The Lifestyle resort is not one building but a large gated complex with several entrances and internal shuttle points, so tell your driver the exact villa number, tower or reception you need — arriving at the wrong gate means a long walk with luggage or a wait for the internal buggy. If your booking is at a specific timeshare unit, have the confirmation to hand for security at the gate. Ocean World has its own separate entrance from the resort, so specify if that's your drop-off. Bring small US dollars or pesos for tips and any roadside stops. The final hill road is narrow, so a private vehicle is more comfortable than a large coach. For late arrivals, note that the gate security check adds a few minutes at the end of the journey.
