Many villas sit on narrow one-way residential streets with restricted parking, so a pickup point on a main road can be faster. If you're arriving late from an international connection, note that the town largely shuts by night outside the season. For onward trips, Pietrasanta, Carrara's marble quarries and Lucca are all easy half-day excursions from here.
