Beyond the parks, the Val d'Europe district next door draws day-trippers to its covered shopping centre and to La Vallée Village, an outlet of designer boutiques. The Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy station sits between the parks and is a stop for both RER A and TGV trains, which is why business visitors and convention guests at the resort's meeting centres also pass through. Peak crowds come in school holidays, summer and the Christmas season.

Orly sits south of Paris and Chessy lies to the east, so the route loops around the city rather than through it. Drivers generally take the A86 and the Francilienne (A104) before joining the A4 motorway signed toward Metz-Nancy and Marne-la-Vallée. It is motorway almost the entire way, roughly 55 km, and in clear conditions runs around 50 to 60 minutes. Traffic is the main variable: the southern and eastern ring roads clog at morning and evening rush hours, and arrivals during school-holiday weekends add resort-bound queues near the final exits. The last few kilometres are well signposted for the parks, with separate turnoffs for the hotels, the station and Val d'Europe.

Tell the driver exactly which resort building you need: the Disney hotels have separate entrances and a one-way service road, and "Disneyland Paris" alone can mean the park gates, Disney Village or a hotel several minutes apart. If you are staying off-site in Chessy or neighbouring Serris and Bailly-Romainvilliers, give the full street address, as these are newer residential and hotel areas. For early park openings or a TGV out of Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy, budget extra time for the ring-road rush. A private transfer avoids the RER A connection from Orly, which otherwise requires the Orlyval shuttle plus a line change. Travelling with young children, confirm car-seat needs in advance rather than at pickup.
