Chessy is the commune that hosts Disneyland Paris, so almost everyone arriving here is heading for the two parks, the Disney Village promenade, or one of the resort hotels like the Disneyland Hotel, Hotel New York, or the Newport Bay Club. Families with young children make up the bulk of visitors, concentrated around school holidays, Christmas and the summer. Beyond the resort, the Val d'Europe district next door has a large shopping centre and the La Vallée Village outlet, which draws day-trippers and shoppers. Chessy also has its own RER A station (Marne-la-Vallée–Chessy), shared with the TGV, so some travellers pass through on connections. The area is flat, modern and purpose-built, with wide avenues rather than a historic old town.

The route runs almost entirely on motorway, keeping to the east of Paris so you avoid the city centre. From the airport terminals the driver joins the A104 (the Francilienne) southbound, then links onto the A4 heading east toward Marne-la-Vallée. The final exit is signposted directly for Disneyland Paris and Val d'Europe, and the resort has several entrances for the parks, Disney Village and each hotel, so it helps to know which one you need. The journey covers roughly 50 kilometres and usually takes about 50 minutes, though the A4 and A104 can clog during morning and evening rush hours and on Friday afternoons. The terrain is flat and suburban throughout, with no winding sections or narrow lanes at the end.

Tell the driver your exact hotel name when booking: the Disney resort hotels each have their own entrance and drop-off point, and some are a few minutes apart by road. If you're staying at a Val d'Europe or off-site hotel rather than inside the resort, confirm that too, as those are reached from a different exit. A private transfer is especially worth it with strollers, car seats and luggage, which make the RER and TGV connections awkward. Request child seats in advance if you need them. CDG is a large airport with three terminals, so share your terminal and flight number so the driver can track arrivals and meet you after passport control and baggage. For late flights, a pre-booked car avoids waiting for the last RER services.
