Private transfer from Paphos International Airport to Pissouri
Door-to-door transfer from Paphos International Airport to Pissouri with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Pissouri is like when you arrive
Pissouri splits into two parts that matter for a transfer. The old village sits up on the hillside around Pissouri Square, with tavernas, stone houses and narrow lanes; the coast is Pissouri Bay, a long shingle-and-sand beach backed by hotels including the Columbia Beach Resort and a strip of beachfront restaurants. The two are several minutes apart by road. Cape Aspro's white cliffs close off the eastern end of the bay, and the area draws a mix of long-stay British residents, families on quiet beach holidays, and walkers using the coastal trails in spring and autumn. It's calmer than Paphos or Limassol, which is exactly why people choose it. Summer is busy along the bay; the village stays low-key year-round.
The drive from Paphos Airport along the A6
The route runs east on the A6 motorway toward Limassol for most of the way, so the bulk of the journey is fast, straightforward dual carriageway with sea on your right and dry hills inland. The airport sits south of Paphos, so you join the motorway quickly without crossing the city. You leave the A6 at the Pissouri exit, after which the character changes: a narrower local road winds down toward the coast, with a noticeable series of bends on the final approach to Pissouri Bay. If you're staying in the village rather than at the bay, the road climbs instead. The whole trip is short by Cyprus standards, and you'll spend far more time on smooth motorway than on the twisting last stretch.
Practical tips for this transfer
Tell the driver clearly whether your accommodation is in Pissouri village or down at Pissouri Bay — they are separated by a winding hill road and it saves confusion on arrival. Resort properties like Columbia Beach Resort have their own entrances, so have the exact hotel name ready. If you're renting a villa in the village, the lanes around the square are narrow and some are hard for a car to enter; a nearby drop-off point may be needed, so bring the host's phone number and any parking notes. Pissouri has small supermarkets and tavernas but limited late-night options, so if you land late, plan food in advance. The bay has no train or tram links; a private transfer or car is the practical way in and out, and taxis back are easier to arrange ahead than on the spot.
