Private transfer from Paphos International Airport to Paphos City Centre
Door-to-door transfer from Paphos International Airport to Paphos City Centre with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Paphos City Centre covers
Paphos splits into two parts. Kato Paphos, the lower coastal area, holds the harbour, the medieval fort, the Tombs of the Kings road and the Nea Paphos archaeological park with its Roman mosaics. This is where most hotels, tavernas and the seafront promenade sit, busiest from May to October with families and couples. Uphill, Ktima (Pano Paphos) is the working town: the covered market, Kennedy Square, the bishopric and the day-to-day shops and offices residents use. The two are linked by Apostolou Pavlou Avenue, the main spine running from the town down to the harbour. If someone books a stay in
The drive from the airport into town
Paphos International Airport sits southeast of the city, near Timi and the coast. The route follows the B6 coastal road and Poseidonos Avenue, running roughly parallel to the sea past the resort strip and Geroskipou before reaching Kato Paphos. It is a short, mostly flat drive of around 20 minutes with no mountain sections. If your accommodation is up in Ktima, the final stretch climbs and the streets narrow noticeably around the market and older quarters. Traffic is light most of the year but thickens along Poseidonos Avenue in July and August, when the beachfront hotels are full and parking near the harbour is scarce.
Practical tips for this route
Tell your driver whether you want Kato Paphos (harbour, hotels) or Ktima (upper town), as they feel like different places and confuse first-time visitors. Many harbour-area streets near Apostolou Pavlou are pedestrianised or one-way, so the drop-off may be a short walk from your door — pack light or expect to carry bags over cobbles. If you land late, note the town winds down earlier off-season; stock up before arrival between November and March. Drivers can also drop you near the Tombs of the Kings or the archaeological park if you plan to start sightseeing straight away. For golfers heading to Aphrodite Hills or Secret Valley, confirm that as a separate destination, since those courses are east of the airport, not in the city itself.
