Limassol's seafront stretches for kilometres, and where you're headed matters. Dasoudi Beach, backed by a eucalyptus grove, is the family choice with a shaded promenade. The Molos promenade runs alongside the old town, with sculptures, lawns and the medieval castle a short walk inland. Limassol Marina mixes berths for yachts with restaurants and small shops. Further west, Lady's Mile is a long flat stretch near the salt lake and Akrotiri, popular with dog walkers and locals who drive out for the beach bars. Summer brings the crowds; spring and autumn suit walkers and swimmers who prefer quieter sand. Tell your driver the specific beach, hotel or marina berth so you're set down at the right end of a long coast.

The route follows the A6 motorway almost the entire way east, roughly 50 kilometres taking about 45 minutes in normal traffic. Leaving Paphos airport you join the motorway near Timi and run parallel to the coast, passing the exits for Kouklia (Aphrodite's Rock is signposted here), Pissouri and Avdimou. The terrain is open and mostly flat, with sea to the right and low hills inland. There are no mountain passes or winding sections, so it's an easy ride. As you approach Limassol the motorway feeds onto the coastal roads; the final stretch to the seafront can be slower through town, especially near the marina and old-town streets, which are narrow and often busy in summer.

Limassol's seafront hotels line several kilometres of the Amathus and tourist area east of the centre, so a hotel name alone isn't enough — give the full address or district (Germasogeia, Potamos Germasogeias or Neapolis). The old town and marina have restricted, narrow streets where large vehicles can't always reach the door; your driver may set you down at the nearest accessible point. If you're heading to a beach for the day rather than a hotel, name a landmark like Dasoudi or the marina. For late arrivals, note the coastal restaurants and beach bars close earlier outside summer. Carry sun protection and water even in spring — the exposed A6 and the open seafront get hot, and there's little natural shade beyond Dasoudi's grove.
