Private transfer from Paphos International Airport to Latchi
Door-to-door transfer from Paphos International Airport to Latchi with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Latchi is known for
Latchi (Latsi) sits on Chrysochous Bay in the far northwest, right beside the larger town of Polis. Its small harbour is the main draw: fishing boats moor alongside operators running trips to the Blue Lagoon off the Akamas Peninsula, and the quayside fish tavernas serve the daily catch. The Baths of Aphrodite and the Akamas coastal trails start just west of the village, so hikers and nature visitors base themselves here in spring and autumn. Families come for the long grey-sand and pebble beach and calm swimming, while boat charters and diving fill the summer. It stays quieter and more low-rise than Paphos or Coral Bay, with holiday villas scattered across the hillsides above the bay toward Neo Chorio.
The drive north through Polis
The route runs the full width of the district, from the airport south of Paphos to the north coast. You'll skirt Paphos on the bypass, then join the B7 road that climbs inland through farmland and villages such as Tsada and Stroumbi, wine country dotted with vineyards. The road is a well-surfaced single carriageway rather than motorway, with a steady succession of bends as it crosses the hills. After the descent you reach Polis, and Latchi lies a few minutes further west along the bay. Expect around an hour to an hour and a quarter depending on traffic through the villages. The final stretch into Latchi is flat and coastal, but the mid-section is genuinely winding, so anyone prone to motion sickness should sit in front.
Practical tips for this route
Latchi and Polis have no railway and limited public transport, so a pre-booked transfer is the practical way in, especially after evening flights when local buses have stopped. Confirm your exact villa or hotel with the driver: accommodation here is spread across Latchi seafront, Polis, and the hillside above toward Neo Chorio, and addresses can be vague, so a pin location or the property name helps. Stock up at a Polis supermarket on the way if you're self-catering, as Latchi itself has fewer shops. If you plan a Blue Lagoon boat trip or the Akamas trails, note that 4x4 tracks beyond the Baths of Aphrodite are rough and not suitable for ordinary cars. Bring cash for the smaller harbour tavernas and boat operators.
