Private transfer from Paphos International Airport to Larnaca Bay (Oroklini)
Door-to-door transfer from Paphos International Airport to Larnaca Bay (Oroklini) with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Larnaca Bay (Oroklini) is like
Oroklini (Voroklini) sits at the northeast end of Larnaca Bay, along the Dhekelia coastal road where hotels like Lordos Beach, Golden Bay, Palm Beach and Sandy Beach line the shore. The beach here is sand-and-shingle with shallow water, which is why families and long-stay winter visitors favour it over central Larnaca. Behind the village, Oroklini Lake is a Ramsar-listed salt wetland where flamingos and migratory birds gather in winter and spring. Oroklini Hill, topped by a large cross, gives a view over the whole bay. It's a quieter base than Larnaca town but only minutes from Finikoudes promenade, the marina and the old Turkish quarter, making it popular with couples and retirees who want the coast without nightlife on the doorstep.
The drive from Paphos Airport across the south coast
The route is almost entirely motorway. From Paphos International Airport you join the A6 heading east along the south coast, skirting Limassol via its bypass, then continue on the A1 toward Larnaca. Approaching Larnaca you take the A3 (the Ayia Napa motorway) or drop onto the Dhekelia road, which runs directly through Oroklini's hotel strip. The terrain is open and mostly flat, with dry hills inland and glimpses of the sea near Zygi and Governor's Beach. It's a straightforward run of roughly an hour and a half with no mountain sections. The only slow part is the final stretch along the coastal road, where hotel entrances, roundabouts and beach traffic can add a few minutes, especially in summer.
Practical tips for this Oroklini transfer
The Dhekelia road hotels stretch over several kilometres, so give the exact hotel name rather than just "Oroklini" — Lordos Beach, Palm Beach and Sandy Beach have separate entrances and drivers need the precise one. If you're staying in the village itself rather than on the beach strip, note the addresses can sit up narrow residential lanes off the main road. Because the drive passes Larnaca Airport on the way in, it's worth confirming you booked Paphos, not Larnaca, as the pickup point. For return trips, allow extra time on summer weekends when the coastal road backs up near the hotels. If you want a stop, Larnaca Salt Lake and Hala Sultan Tekke are a short detour just before you reach the bay.
