Private transfer from Paphos International Airport to Coral Bay
Door-to-door transfer from Paphos International Airport to Coral Bay with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Coral Bay is known for
Coral Bay sits on the coast northwest of Paphos, within the Peyia municipality. Its centre is Coral Bay Beach, a curved sandy bay with calm, shallow water and Blue Flag status, which makes it a steady choice for families through the summer. Coral Bay Avenue running behind the beach is lined with tavernas, cafés and low-key bars rather than large clubs. Just north are the Sea Caves and the Edro III shipwreck near Agios Georgios, and the wild Akamas Peninsula begins a short drive further on for walkers and jeep trips. The hillside village of Peyia above the resort has a large residential and expat community, so shops and supermarkets stay open year-round rather than shutting in winter.
The drive from the airport to Coral Bay
Paphos International Airport lies southeast of the city, so the route skirts or passes Paphos before heading up the coast. Most of the journey follows main roads and the coastal corridor towards Kissonerga and Peyia, with the sea on your left for much of the second half. Expect roughly 30 kilometres and about 40 minutes in normal traffic. The terrain is gentle and mostly flat until the final approach, where the road climbs slightly through Kissonerga and Peyia's outskirts before dropping towards the bay. The last stretch into the resort narrows and includes some tight turns and steep side streets, particularly for accommodation set back on the hillside above the beach.
Practical tips for this transfer
Coral Bay is spread out, so give the exact hotel or villa name and the street in Peyia when booking — properties above the bay are reached by narrow, steep lanes where a driver needs the specific address rather than just "Coral Bay". If you are staying in a villa in the upper Peyia hills, note that some access roads are unpaved near the top. Supermarkets on Coral Bay Avenue and in Peyia are handy for a first-night shop, but many close earlier out of season. If you plan day trips into Akamas, the Blue Lagoon and Lara Bay are not reachable by ordinary car from here, so arrange a boat or 4x4 separately. Sunset over the bay means the westbound final stretch can be bright in late afternoon.
