Private transfer from Paphos International Airport to Ayia Napa
Door-to-door transfer from Paphos International Airport to Ayia Napa with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Ayia Napa is known for
Ayia Napa sits on Cyprus's southeast corner, built around a compact centre and a string of sandy bays. Nissi Beach and Makronissos draw families in daytime, while the square around the medieval Ayia Napa Monastery fills with clubs and bars at night, making the town a summer magnet for younger crowds from June to September. The harbour and the newer Ayia Napa Marina anchor the quieter side of the resort, and Cape Greco (Cavo Greco) national forest park just east offers sea caves, cliff walks and snorkelling spots. Neighbouring Protaras and Pernera, a short drive up the coast, suit those wanting calmer family beaches like Fig Tree Bay. Off-season the town empties considerably, with many venues closing between November and March.
The drive across the south coast
This is one of the longest airport runs on the island, crossing the country from southwest to southeast. From Paphos International Airport the route joins the A6 motorway and runs east along the coast toward Limassol, passing the Kouklia and Governor's Beach areas. It then continues on the A1 past Limassol and inland toward Larnaca, before the A3 sweeps down to Ayia Napa and Cape Greco. The journey is almost entirely dual-carriageway motorway, so it moves quickly and steadily; expect roughly two hours without stops. Terrain is mostly gentle coastal plain with distant hills, not mountain roads. The final stretch leaves the motorway for local roads into the resort, where traffic and one-way sections around the town centre and beaches slow the last few minutes, especially in peak summer.
Practical tips for this transfer
Because this is a two-hour crossing, it is worth a bathroom and drink stop; the service areas and fuel stations around Limassol are the natural halfway point, so mention this to your driver in advance. Give the exact name of your hotel or apartment complex, as Ayia Napa has many similarly named properties spread between the town centre, Nissi Avenue and the Makronissos side, and beachfront addresses can be hard to reach directly during summer road closures. If you land late, note that most Ayia Napa nightlife runs into the early hours in July and August, so the town stays busy. For very early departures, allow a full two-plus hours back to Paphos airport, and remember Larnaca airport is much closer if your return flight allows it.
