If you plan boat trips to La Maddalena, confirm whether you sail from Cannigione marina or drive on to Palau, as some operators depart there. Stock up at the supermarket in town on arrival, since options thin out toward the outlying coves. For evening flights back, allow extra time on August weekends when the SS125 backs up around Arzachena. Sardinia's off-season is real: check that your rental, and a nearby restaurant, are actually open before booking a spring or autumn transfer.
