Private transfer from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Cannes
Door-to-door transfer from Nice Côte d'Azur Airport to Cannes with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
Where you're heading in Cannes
Cannes runs along the Boulevard de la Croisette, the seafront lined with hotels like the Carlton, Martinez and Majestic, and the Palais des Festivals where the film festival takes over each May. Behind it sits Le Suquet, the old town climbing to the Notre-Dame de l'Espérance church and a clock tower with views over the bay. Rue Meynadier and the Marché Forville draw people for food shopping, while the Vieux Port and Port Canto hold the yachts. Day-trippers catch boats from the harbour to the Îles de Lérins, Sainte-Marguerite and Saint-Honorat. Beyond the festival crowds, families come in summer for the sandy Croisette beaches and residents fill the cafés on Rue d'Antibes year-round.
The drive west along the A8
The route leaves the airport and picks up the A8 motorway heading west, the same corridor that serves Antibes and the whole western Riviera. Most of the journey is straightforward dual-carriageway inland from the coast, passing exits for Antibes and Sophia Antipolis before you leave the motorway at the Cannes exits. The final stretch drops down through Le Cannet or along the seafront depending on where in town you're staying, and traffic thickens near the centre. Expect roughly 35 minutes in normal conditions, though the A8 backs up badly during the film festival in May, the Cannes Lions in June and summer weekends. The road is easy driving; the slow part is always the last few kilometres into town.
Practical tips for arriving in Cannes
During festival weeks the Croisette and streets around the Palais are closed or restricted, so a driver may drop you a short walk from your hotel rather than at the door — tell us your hotel in advance so the driver knows the access points. If you're staying in Le Suquet, be aware the old-town lanes are narrow, stepped and largely pedestrian, so the closest a car can reach is often the edge of the quarter. For the Lérins islands, ask to be dropped at the Vieux Port ferry terminal rather than a hotel. Rush hour and event days make the A8 unpredictable, so allow extra time for the return to the airport. If you're continuing to nearby Mougins, Mandelieu golf or Théoule-sur-Mer, mention it when booking.
