Private transfer from Naples International Airport to Procida
Door-to-door transfer from Naples International Airport to Procida with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Procida is and who goes there
Procida is the smallest inhabited island in the Bay of Naples, and unlike Capri it stays low-key and lived-in. Ferries dock at Marina Grande, the working harbour lined with pastel houses. A short climb leads to Terra Murata, the fortified upper town, and the Palazzo d'Avalos, a former prison. Below it sits Marina Corricella, the fishing cove of stacked ochre and pink façades famous from the film 'Il Postino'. Beach-goers head to Chiaiolella, Ciraccio and Pozzo Vecchio, and cross the footbridge to the Vivara nature reserve. It draws Italian families and couples in summer and day-trippers year-round; it was named Italian Capital of Culture in 2022. Expect very narrow lanes and three-wheeled microtaxis rather than large cars.
Getting from the airport to the Procida ferry
There is no bridge to Procida, so every trip combines a road transfer with a ferry. The most useful drop-off is Pozzuoli, roughly 15–20 minutes west of Naples airport through the Campi Flegrei, where crossings to Procida are the shortest and cheapest. Alternatively the driver can take you to central Naples at Molo Beverello or Calata Porta di Massa, about 20–30 minutes depending on traffic through the city. From Pozzuoli the hydrofoil reaches Procida in around 25–40 minutes; ferries from Naples take a similar time by hydrofoil or longer by car ferry. The road itself is ordinary urban and coastal driving, not mountain roads, so the timing usually depends on Naples traffic and on matching the ferry schedule.
Practical tips for this airport-to-island route
Book the transfer to the port that matches your ferry ticket, and buy the ferry with a comfortable buffer after landing — Caremar and SNAV run to Procida, but sailings thin out in the evening and in winter. Pozzuoli suits fast connections; Molo Beverello suits those who also want time in Naples. Travel light: Procida's lanes are steep and narrow, and cars other than resident vehicles are restricted in high season, so you'll rely on the L1 minibus, microtaxis or walking. Tell your driver which harbour and check whether your accommodation is near Marina Grande, Corricella or Chiaiolella, as they sit on opposite sides of the island. On busy summer weekends, allow extra time for parking and boarding queues at the port.
