In July and August the coast road through Praia and Scalea slows to a crawl, so an early-morning flight makes the run smoother. If your accommodation is a beachfront residence or a summer rental, share the exact street and a phone number: many seafront lanes near the lungomare are narrow and one-way, and the town centre streets tighten toward the old quarter. Give the driver the nearest cross street rather than just the property name. For boat trips to the Isola di Dino, note that departures depend on sea conditions and run mainly in season.
