Acciaroli is a fishing village and marina on the Cilento coast, part of the Pollica municipality inside the Cilento National Park. Its small harbour, the medieval Norman tower and the church of Santissima Annunziata sit at the heart of the old centre, a short walk from the seafront promenade. From Naples airport the route heads south on the A2/A3 motorway (Autostrada del Mediterraneo) past Salerno, then leaves the motorway around Battipaglia or Eboli towards Agropoli. This first stretch is straightforward dual carriageway and covers most of the distance. The character changes once you reach the coast: the road narrows to the SS267 and local provincial roads, winding through Agropoli, Santa Maria di Castellabate and the headlands above the sea. The final approach into Acciaroli is slow, with bends, single-lane sections and passing through village centres. Expect around two hours and fifteen minutes in normal traffic. In August the coastal section can crawl, so an early departure helps considerably.

Acciaroli's old centre near the harbour has narrow, partly restricted streets, so tell your driver the exact name of your hotel, B&B or the beach club you're heading to; many properties sit on the seafront or the hill above and drivers may drop at the nearest accessible point. There is no train station in the village itself — the nearest railheads are at Agropoli-Castellabate and Vallo della Lucania, which is why a direct road transfer makes sense. Buy any supplies before arriving if you land late, as village shops keep short hours off-season. If you plan day trips to Velia or Palinuro, agree the pick-up logistics in advance, since local taxis are scarce along this coast.
