The final approach into La Baule leaves the main road and passes through the Escoublac pine woods, where speeds drop and the road narrows near the residential avenues. Traffic thickens on summer Saturdays when weekly rentals change over.

La Baule addresses spread over a large area, so give your driver the exact street, not just the resort name — the beachfront villas, the town centre near the market, and the Le Pouliguen or Pornichet ends of the bay are several minutes apart by car. Many seafront apartment blocks have restricted drop-off zones and one-way streets, so confirm the closest accessible point in advance. If you are staying at Golf de La Baule or in Saint-André-des-Eaux, note it is set back inland, not on the coast. For summer arrivals, book an earlier pick-up to allow for changeover-day congestion around Guérande. The TGV station is central and walkable, but the airport transfer avoids the connection at Nantes entirely and drops you at the door.
