Private transfer from Menorca Airport to Arenal d'en Castell
Door-to-door transfer from Menorca Airport to Arenal d'en Castell with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.
What Arenal d'en Castell is like
Arenal d'en Castell sits on Menorca's north coast, built around a near-circular sandy bay that stays shallow and sheltered a long way out — the main reason it fills with families in July and August. The resort is compact: apartment blocks and a few larger hotels ring the beach, with the sand reached by steps and ramps below them. Within walking distance are the quieter coves of Coves Noves and the small marina village of Na Macaret. A short drive brings you to Port d'Addaia's inlet and Son Parc, which has Menorca's only golf course and a wider beach with dunes. It's a low-key, seasonal place rather than a nightlife destination, and many businesses close outside the April–October window.
The drive from the airport to the north coast
Menorca Airport sits just south of Maó, so the whole journey crosses the island from the south-east up to the north coast. Drivers skirt Maó on the Me-1, then pick up the road heading north towards Es Mercadal and Fornells before turning off for Arenal d'en Castell. The terrain is gently rolling farmland — dry-stone walls, low hills and open fields rather than mountains or clifftop roads — so it's an easy ride for anyone prone to travel sickness. The last stretch narrows as you enter the resort, with a loop of streets serving the various apartment blocks and hotels around the bay. Total driving time is usually around 35 minutes, longer in peak-season afternoon traffic near Maó.
Practical tips for this transfer
Arenal d'en Castell's apartment complexes look alike and share confusingly similar names, so give your driver the exact building name and block, not just the resort — several entrances ring the bay and the closest drop-off point depends on which side you're staying. There are no large supermarkets in the resort itself; if you're self-catering, ask whether a quick stop in Es Mercadal on the way is possible, as options in Na Macaret are limited. The bay is steep-sided, so packing light helps with the final walk down to beach-level accommodation. For late arrivals, note that this is a quiet resort after dark with few taxis waiting, which makes a pre-booked return transfer worthwhile rather than trying to find one on the day.
