Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Zuheros
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Zuheros with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

Zuheros and the Sierras Subbéticas
Zuheros is a small whitewashed village in the south of Córdoba province, built against a limestone crag with its 9th-century Moorish castle right on the rock above the houses. It sits inside the Sierras Subbéticas Natural Park, so most visitors come to walk: the Cueva de los Murciélagos, reached by a steep road above the village, has Neolithic cave paintings and needs a booked guided tour. The nearby Vía Verde de la Subbética, an old railway line converted into a flat walking and cycling greenway, passes close by towards Doña Mencía and Cabra. The village is also known for its goat's cheese and for restaurants serving Subbética olive oil. It's a day-trip and weekend base rather than a beach destination, busiest in spring and autumn.
The drive from Málaga Airport to Zuheros
The route leaves the airport and heads inland on the A-45 motorway towards Antequera and Córdoba, climbing steadily away from the coast. Most of the journey is fast dual carriageway through open countryside and olive groves. After passing the Lucena and Cabra area, the road narrows onto regional roads (around Doña Mencía) that wind through farmland towards the village. The last stretch is a genuinely twisting climb up to Zuheros itself, with tight bends as you approach the rock. Expect roughly two hours in normal traffic. The scenery shifts from coastal to inland agricultural plains and then to the wooded limestone hills of the Subbética, so the final approach feels very different from the start.

Practical tips for this transfer
Zuheros has narrow, steep streets and limited parking near the top of the village, so a door-to-door drop-off saves dragging luggage uphill; tell your driver the exact address, as some lanes are too tight for larger vehicles and you may be set down at the nearest accessible point. This is a mountain village with little in the way of large supermarkets, so stock up in Cabra or Lucena on the way if you need supplies. If you plan to visit the Cueva de los Murciélagos, book the guided tour before you travel, as slots sell out at weekends. There's no direct train, and public transport from Málaga is slow and requires changes, which makes a private transfer the most practical option. Evenings get cool in the hills even in summer, so pack a layer.
