Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Vejer de la Frontera with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Vejer de la Frontera is known for
Vejer sits on a steep hill above the La Janda plain in Cádiz province, its old town a maze of whitewashed lanes around the Plaza de España, the castle and the Arco de la Segur. Visitors come for the food as much as the views: bluefin tuna from the nearby almadraba fishery at Barbate and Zahara, and retinto beef from the surrounding fields. In summer the crowd shifts to the coast a few kilometres away — El Palmar for surfing and beach bars, Los Caños de Meca and Cabo de Trafalgar lighthouse for quieter sand and sunsets. Conil de la Frontera and Barbate are close neighbours. Expect couples, surfers, foodies and walkers rather than big-resort tourism, with spring and September the calmest months.
The drive west along the coast to Cádiz province
The route runs almost entirely on dual carriageway. From the airport you join the A-7/AP-7 westbound and follow the coast past Marbella, Estepona and Manilva, then swing inland briefly around Algeciras before picking up the A-48 towards Cádiz. This last stretch cuts across open, rolling farmland with wind turbines on the ridges — a change from the built-up Costa del Sol behind you. The total is roughly 235 km and around two and three-quarter hours in normal traffic. The exit for Vejer leaves the A-48 and climbs a short, winding road up to the town. If you're staying in the old town itself, the final few hundred metres are narrow, one-way and steeply cobbled, so the last approach is slow.

Practical tips for arriving in Vejer
Vejer's historic centre has heavy traffic restrictions and almost no room to stop, so a car usually drops you at the edge — near La Corredera or the public car parks below the walls — leaving a short uphill walk with luggage over cobbles. Tell us your exact address when booking; if you're actually staying at El Palmar, Los Caños de Meca or Conil rather than the town, the driver can take you straight there, which changes the final part of the route. In July and August the coastal A-7 around Marbella and Fuengirola clogs up, so an early or late departure saves time. There are no direct trains here, and the nearest useful onward airport is Jerez; pre-booking a fixed transfer avoids waiting for scarce local taxis on arrival.
