Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Torrenueva Costa
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Torrenueva Costa with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Torrenueva Costa is like
Torrenueva Costa sits on Granada's Costa Tropical, just east of Motril, and became its own municipality in 2018 after separating from Motril. It's a low-key seaside town rather than a resort strip: dark-sand and shingle beaches like Playa de Torrenueva and the rocky Los Peñones, a walkable paseo marítimo, and fish restaurants that fill up in summer. The Faro de Sacratif lighthouse stands on the headland between here and Calahonda. Most visitors are families from Granada city and the interior who come for July and August, plus retirees and second-home owners the rest of the year. The surrounding hillsides are covered in greenhouses and subtropical orchards growing avocado, mango and custard apple. Neighbouring Calahonda and Carchuna are known for diving and quieter coves.
The drive east along the A-7
The route runs east on the A-7 (Autovía del Mediterráneo), the coastal motorway, for almost the whole journey. After leaving the airport you pass Rincón de la Victoria, Torre del Mar and Nerja, then the road climbs into a stretch of tunnels and viaducts above Maro and Almuñécar where the mountains drop straight to the sea. Past Salobreña, with its castle visible on the hill, you reach the Motril area and leave the motorway for the coastal approach to Torrenueva Costa. Expect around 110–120 km and roughly an hour and a half in normal traffic. It's fast dual carriageway for most of it; the last few kilometres are ordinary local roads through greenhouse country before you drop down to the town. Summer weekends can slow things around Nerja and Motril.

Practical tips for this transfer
Because Torrenueva Costa is at the far eastern end of the Costa del Sol run, treat it as a long transfer rather than a short hop: this is not Marbella distance. Give your driver the specific street and, if you're in an apartment block or urbanización near the seafront, the building name — the town's grid of low streets can look similar and some paseo-side addresses are pedestrianised. If you land late, note there is no direct train and bus links via Motril are limited, so a pre-booked door-to-door car is the practical option. Ask to stop in Motril for a supermarket if you're self-catering, as Torrenueva's shops are smaller. In midsummer, add buffer time for coastal traffic around Almuñécar and Nerja. Keep water handy — the last inland stretch through the greenhouses can be hot.
