Torreblanca del Sol is a residential district on the eastern side of Fuengirola, climbing the hillside between Carvajal and the town centre. It's known for its steep streets, apartment blocks and villas with sea views, and its own Cercanías station on the C1 line linking Málaga and Fuengirola. Torreblanca beach sits below, a quieter stretch than central Fuengirola, backed by the seafront promenade that continues towards Carvajal and Los Boliches. Many residents here are long-stay northern European homeowners and retirees, alongside families renting apartments in summer. It's within easy reach of Fuengirola's marina, the Bioparc zoo and Sohail Castle, without the density of the town's core. The area is more about calm coastal living than nightlife.

The route runs southwest from the airport along the AP-7 toll motorway or the parallel A-7, following the coast past Torremolinos and Benalmádena. It's fast dual carriageway for almost the whole way, roughly 25 kilometres and around half an hour in normal traffic. As you approach Fuengirola the road drops towards the sea, and the final stretch into Torreblanca leaves the main road for narrower residential streets that wind uphill. Drivers reaching addresses above the railway line will notice tight turns and steep gradients, so the last few minutes are slower than the motorway suggests. In July and August, and during Semana Santa, traffic around Benalmádena and Fuengirola exits can add time, particularly late afternoon.

Torreblanca's hillside addresses can be hard to locate, as many villas and small apartment blocks share similar street names on winding lanes. Have your exact street and building number ready, and note whether you are above or below the railway line, since access differs. If your accommodation is on a very steep or narrow lane, ask the driver in advance whether they can reach the door or will stop at the nearest accessible point. The Cercanías station is central to the district and works as an easy meeting reference. For late arrivals, confirm your driver's meeting point at the airport, as Málaga's terminals get busy. Carry water in summer; the walk from a drop-off up to a hillside villa can be tiring in heat with luggage.
