There is a high-speed AVE station, Puente Genil-Herrera, on the Córdoba–Málaga line, but it sits several kilometres outside town and trains don't stop there frequently, so a direct road transfer is often simpler than combining train and taxi. If you're arriving for Semana Santa, book well ahead and confirm your drop-off point: several central streets are closed to traffic during processions, and your driver may need an alternative address nearby.
