The route is almost entirely motorway. Leaving the airport you join the A-7 and then the A-92, the main inland corridor that climbs away from the coast towards Antequera and Loja before descending into the Granada plain. The terrain is inland and open: farmland, olive groves and long gradients rather than coastline, and you gain noticeable altitude before the road drops down towards the city. Nearing Granada you leave the A-92 for the southern approach roads that feed the metropolitan towns, and the final stretch into Ogíjares runs through built-up residential streets rather than open road. The journey usually takes around an hour and a half. Traffic is generally smooth outside Granada's morning and evening rush, when the ring road and southern access points can slow considerably.

Give your driver a full street address rather than just the town name: Ogíjares has residential estates and newer developments where satellite navigation and house numbering can be inconsistent, and some streets are narrow one-way loops that a large vehicle cannot enter directly. A nearby landmark or the town hall as a reference helps. If your final destination is central Granada or the Alhambra, confirm the exact drop-off, because Ogíjares is a distinct town several kilometres south of the city and not walking distance. In winter, if you are continuing to Sierra Nevada, ask about snow chains and current road conditions on the ski access route. Book the return pickup with extra buffer time, since the A-92 back to the coast can build queues near Granada during peak departure periods and around holiday weekends.
