Miraflores Golf Resort is in Riviera del Sol, part of Mijas Costa, roughly halfway between Fuengirola and Marbella. The centrepiece is the 18-hole Miraflores Golf course, laid out across rolling ground with sea views, and the surrounding urbanisation is a mix of apartments and villas used by golfers, long-stay winter visitors and holiday families. La Cala de Mijas, with its sandy beach and low-key restaurants, is a short drive west, while Calahonda and Cabopino marina lie just to the east. It is quieter than Fuengirola but well placed for both. Golfers come year-round, with autumn and spring the busiest for play; families favour summer for the beaches. The N-340 coastal road runs right past the resort entrance.

The route runs almost entirely on the coastal motorway. Leaving the airport you join the A-7 (or the parallel AP-7 toll road) heading southwest, passing Torremolinos, Benalmádena and Fuengirola. After roughly 35 to 40 kilometres you exit towards Riviera del Sol and drop onto the N-340 to reach the resort. It is fast, level driving for most of the way, with the sea on your left and the Sierra de Mijas rising inland. The last stretch involves leaving the motorway and navigating the local access roads of the urbanisation, which climb slightly and split into several residential lanes. Expect around 40 minutes in normal traffic; allow more in July and August, when the Fuengirola stretch backs up, and during weekday rush hours near Torremolinos.

Riviera del Sol is a large hillside urbanisation with steep, similarly named streets, so the resort name alone is not enough for a driver to find your door. Give the exact block, villa number or apartment building, and ideally the phase or calle, plus any gate or barrier code if your accommodation is inside a gated community. If you are carrying golf bags, mention this when booking so the vehicle has boot space. The nearest supermarkets and pharmacies are along the N-340 in Riviera del Sol and in Calahonda; stock up on arrival if you land late, as smaller shops close early. There is no direct train to the resort, though Fuengirola's Cercanías line ends a short taxi ride away, which is worth knowing for day trips into Málaga.
