Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Los Alcázares
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to Los Alcázares with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What Los Alcázares is known for on the Mar Menor
Los Alcázares sits on the western shore of the Mar Menor, the warm, shallow saltwater lagoon that separates from the open Mediterranean by the La Manga strip. The calm, waist-deep water off Playa La Concha and Playa del Espejo draws families with young children and older visitors who come for the traditional mud treatments. The seafront promenade runs past the old fishing quarter and Torre del Rame. Golfers base themselves here for Roda Golf and La Serena Golf, while the Los Narejos neighbourhood, near the San Javier air base and the airshow it hosts, is largely residential. Summer is busy with Spanish holidaymakers; spring and autumn suit golf and cycling. The town keeps a low-rise, workaday feel rather than a resort one.
The long drive east from Málaga along the A-7
This is one of the longer transfers from Málaga, covering roughly 400 km and around four hours in normal traffic. Almost all of it is motorway: the A-7 heads east past Motril and along the Granada and Almería coast, sometimes hugging the sea and sometimes cutting inland through dry, open country around Almería and Puerto Lumbreras. Beyond Murcia the route joins the AP-7 toward Cartagena before turning off for the Mar Menor. Expect long, steady stretches rather than winding roads, with mountain scenery inland and few big towns in the middle section. The final approach into Los Alcázares is flat and simple, dropping down to the lagoon with straightforward local roads to the seafront and residential streets.
Planning the trip: timing, stops and airports
Because it's a four-hour drive, treat this as a half-day journey and plan a comfort stop; the service areas around Almería and Puerto Lumbreras are the practical break points, as there's little between them. If your dates allow, check whether flying into Región de Murcia (Corvera) or Alicante-Elche is closer to your plans, but a direct transfer from Málaga avoids changing airports mid-trip. Tell your driver the exact urbanisation or golf resort name and the block, since Los Alcázares and Los Narejos spread out with similar-looking streets and few landmarks. Summer weekends bring heavy beach traffic near the seafront, so allow extra time. Bring sun protection and water for the drive across the drier inland stretches, especially midsummer.
