Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to La Zubia
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to La Zubia with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

La Zubia at the foot of Sierra Nevada
La Zubia sits just south of Granada, within its metropolitan belt alongside Cájar, Ogíjares and Huétor Vega, where the plain of the Vega meets the lower slopes of Sierra Nevada. Most people arriving here are residents, families with relatives in the area, or hikers heading for the Cumbres Verdes urbanisation and the trails into the Sierra Nevada natural park. The town is tied to the 1491 skirmish witnessed by Queen Isabella, remembered at the Ejido and the surrounding countryside. Locals go up to Cumbres Verdes for cooler air in summer, and the pinewoods of the Llano de la Perdiz are close by. It's a quieter base than central Granada, but the Alhambra and the city centre are only a short drive north.
The drive from Málaga Airport to La Zubia
The route leaves the airport on the A-7 coastal motorway, then turns inland onto the A-92 through the hills past Loja and Santa Fe. This is the fast, easy part of the trip: motorway almost the whole way, with a long, gradual climb as you move away from the coast towards the Granada basin. Approaching Granada you join the city's southern ring road (Ronda Sur/A-44), then drop down through Ogíjares or Cájar on the local roads into La Zubia. Expect around an hour and a half without traffic. The final stretch into town runs through built-up suburban streets rather than open motorway, and if your destination is up in Cumbres Verdes the road narrows and climbs noticeably.

Practical tips for this transfer
Give your driver the exact street and, if you're staying in Cumbres Verdes, mention it when booking — the climb above the town has steep, narrow lanes and satnav can be vague up there. Granada's southern ring road backs up at morning and evening rush hour, so allow extra time if you have a train from Granada or a slot at the Alhambra. La Zubia's old-town core has tight one-way streets; a precise address helps the driver drop you close to the door. If you're heading on to the Sierra Nevada ski area in winter, this is a sensible overnight base below the snow line. Have some cash for local cafés and small shops, as not all accept cards, and confirm your return pickup time the day before.
