Private transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to La Rabita
Door-to-door transfer from Málaga-Costa del Sol Airport to La Rabita with professional driver, fixed price and flight monitoring included.

What La Rabita is like
La Rabita (La Rábita) is a small fishing village in the municipality of Albuñol, on the eastern edge of Granada province where the Costa Tropical meets Almería. Its beaches are grey sand and pebble, backed by a promenade and a modest fishing harbour rather than resort towers. The surrounding hillsides are covered with plastic greenhouses growing tomatoes and other crops, a working landscape rather than a tourist strip. Most visitors are Spanish families and second-home owners who return each summer, plus people passing between Granada's coast and Adra. Inland lies Albuñol town; along the shore you reach La Mamola, Melicena and Castell de Ferro to the west, and the Almería border a short distance east. It stays quiet outside July and August.
The drive east along the A-7
The route follows the A-7 Autovía del Mediterráneo almost the entire way east from the airport. You skirt Málaga, pass Rincón de la Victoria, Torre del Mar and Nerja, then cross into Granada province through a series of tunnels and viaducts around Almuñécar and Salobreña, where the road climbs and dips against the cliffs. After Motril the greenhouses take over the coastal plain. The final stretch leaves the motorway near Albuñol and drops down a short local road to the seafront at La Rabita. It is dual carriageway for the great majority of the journey, so it is smooth going; expect roughly two hours, longer on summer weekends when the coast road near Nerja and Motril slows with beach traffic.

Practical points for this transfer
Give your driver the exact street or the name of your apartment block, since La Rabita is small and much accommodation is holiday flats without obvious signage; "La Rábita, Albuñol" alone is enough to reach the village but not the door. There is no train and very limited public transport this far along the coast, so a direct transfer saves changing buses in Motril. The seafront streets are narrow and fill with parked cars in August, so agree a drop-off point near the promenade if your building has no access. Bring supplies if you arrive late — shops and restaurants are seasonal and can close early out of high summer. If you are continuing to Adra or Almería, the A-7 border is only minutes further east.
